Know all men by these presents that I Luvena Hires the wife
of George A. Hires the grantor of the foregoing deed of conveyance
for and in the consideration of the premises in said deed executed
in and for the consideration of the sum of five dollars to me in
hand paid by John M. Hines do hereby renounce, release relinquish
and forever quit claim all my right of dower in and to
the premises by said deed conveyed as fully and absolutely as I
might or could do the same. Witness my hand and seal this
28th day of June AD 1856.

County of Alachua This Indenture made the first day of
October in the year eighteen hundred and fifty six between James
Davis of the County and State aforesaid of the first part
and James C. Standley of the same county and State of the
second part. Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and
thirteen dollars and seventy five cents ($413.75) lawful money of
the United States to him duly paid before the delivery hereof hath
bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant and convey
to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns-
forever all that certain piece or parcel of land known and des-
cribed in U.S. survey returned to the Land Office in Newnansville
State aforesaid, as the E 1/2 of S W 1/4 & W 1/2 of S. E 1/4 of Sec. 23.T.8.S
R. 18 E containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less together
with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
and all the estate, title and interest of the said party of the first part
therein and the said party of the first part doth hereby
covenant and agree with the said party of the second part that
at the time of the delivery hereof the said party of the first part
is the lawful owner of the premises above granted and
seized thereof in fee Simple absolute and that he will warrant
and defend the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable
possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assign
