This Indenture made the twenty second day of October in the year
one thousand eight hunder and fifty six between David J. Ridaught
of the County of Alachua State of Florida of the first part and Richard
Ridaught of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth, that the said
party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twelve
hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to him duly paid
before the delivery of these presents hath bargained and sold and by
these presents doth grant and convey to the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of
land lying and being in the County of Monroe and State aforesaid
and which is known and described as follows, to wit, as the North
East quarter of section twenty five in Township thirteen South of
Range twenty East, containing one hundred and fifty four acres
more or less together with all and singular the tenements heredit-
-aments and appurtenances and all the estate title and interest of the
said party of the first part therein and the said party of the first
part doth hereby covenant and agree with the said party of the
second part that at the time of the delivery hereof the said party
of the first part is the lawful owner of the premises above granted
and seized thereof in fee Simple absolute and that he will warrant
and defend the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable
possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns-
forever.
       In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this
day and date first above written.

     Know all men by these presents, That I Martha J. Ridaught
wife of David J. Ridaught the grantor of the foregoing Deed for the
conveyance of Real Estate for and in consideration of the premises
in said Deed recited as well as in consideration of the sum of one
dollar to me in hand paid by Richard Ridaught, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby renounce, release
and relinquish unto the said Richard Ridaught all my
right claim or equity of Dower in and to the premises described
in said Deed as fully and absolutely as I might or could do
the same.
      Witness my hand and seal this 24th day of October AD 1856

      Personally appeared before me S.W. Burnett a Justice of the
peace in and for Alachua County State of Florida Martha J.
Ridaught to me well known to be the person who executed the above
relinquishment of Dower and acknowledged that she had executed
the same freely and voluntarily and without any compulsion
constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said
husband and I certify that I Said acknowledgement
