Alachua County   } Be it remembered that on the 29th day of
March 1856 Mary C. Wilson wife of Charles L. Wilson in her own
proper person appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for
said County and being examined by me separate and apart from
her said husband and having fully explained the foregoing deed
to her she acknowledged she signed the same for the purposes
therein expressed and that she signed the same freely and volun-
-tarily and without compulsion restraint apprehension dread
or fear of or from her said husband
  Witness my hand this 29th day of March A.D. 1856

Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the 28th day of
November A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty six between
Asa Clark Sr. and Jane A. Clark (his wife) of the County
of Alachua and State aforesaid of the first part and Mary Clark
wife of Asa Clark Jr. of the County and State aforesaid of the
second part, Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part
for an in consideration of the natural love and affection they
bear and have for the said Mary Clark wife of the said Asa
Clark Jr. aforesaid and for the further consideration of the sum
of Five dollars to them in hand paid at and before the ensealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath given, granted, bargained, and sold and
delivered and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell and
convey unto the said Mary Clark, and to the heirs of her
body both present and future, by her present husband the
said Asa Clark Jr. the following described Negro slaves
to wit, One negro man named Morris aged about twenty
two years, complexion dark, and one negro boy named Charles
aged about Seven years, complexion dark.
  To have and to hold the said negro slaves with their
future increase unto the said Mary Clark wife of the said
Asa Clark Jr. and to the heirs of her body as aforesaid
forever.
   In testimony whereof we the said parties of the first
part have hereunto set our hands and seals this the 28th day of November
A.D. 1856
