appointed by the Governor of the State of Florida and duly
Qualified to take acknowledgements of deeds in the
State of Maryland to be used or recorded in the said
State of Florida, do certify that, Charles W. Brush and
Julia A. Van Ness personally well known to me to be
the granters and the parties who executed and are
described in the above and foregoing deed, personally
appeared before me, in the City and State aforesaid
and severally acknowledged that they had executed the
said deed for the purpose therein set forth and at
the same time Julia A. Van Ness, was by me duly sworn
that she had executed and acknowledged the said
deed under authority of a power of attorney is duly
recorded in office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of St Johns County in said State of Florida
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal affix my seal of office this 19th day of
February in the year of our lord 1856.

Whereas at a Circuit Court held in for the County of Duval
in the Eastern Circuit of Florida on the twenty seventh
day of October in the year eighteen hundred and fifty six
in a certain cause in Chancery for Foreclosure wherein John
Boston and John L. Villalonger Partners were complainants and
Darling C. Prescott was defendant I was among other things 
ordered adjudged and decreed that the lands specially
described therein as follows to wit, Lots number two (2) three (3) four (4)
five (5) and nine (9) in Sec 13, Township nine (9) south and Range
twenty two (22) East, also Lot No. fifteen 15 in section eighteen (18)
Township nine (9) Range twenty three 23 south and East
containing about two hundred and seven (207) acres of land
also the north Half, of the North East quarter of section twenty
four (24) in Township nine (9) Range twenty two (22) South and
East containing about eighty acres of land situated lying
and being in the County of Alachua State of Florida
be sold at public sale before the Court House door in the
County of Alachua on the second Tuesday in December
there ****, by George B. Ellis Shiriff of said County who
was thereby appointed Special Master for the purpose of
said sale and that such special master should give public
