by his first wife Sarah A. Pelot Decd Fifteen hundred Dollars,
for two Negroes - to wit Lucy - a woman aged thirty eight years
Dark complection - and her son Samuel aged twenty one, Mulatto, =
The two negroes above named, & Sold as above Stated, to George L. Brown,
As trustee for the Children of John C. Pelot, and Sarah A. Pelot -
I warrant to be healthy & Sound Slaves for life and the titles I
hereby warrant to defend against the claim of all and every person
Whatsoever In Witness whereof I hereby Set my hand and Seal this 20th
day of October A.D. 1855 -
