This Indenture, made this the first day of December A.D. One
thousand eight hundred and fifty six between John M. Miller of the
County of Alachua and State of Florida of the first part and
Frances A. Shannon of the same place of the second part, Witnesseth,
That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the
sum of three thousand dollars to him in hand paid before the delivery
hereof, hath bargained sold and by these presents doth grant and
convey to the said party of the second part, all that certain piece of
or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Alachua
and State aforesaid and known as the Section thirty five (35)
in Township nine (9) and Range twenty one (21) lying within
the Arredondo Grant containing Six hundred and forty acres -
(640) together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments
and appurtenances and all the Estate title and interest of the
said party of the first part therein.
And the said party of the first part doth hereby covenant and
agree with the said party of the second part, that at the time
of the delivery hereof, the said party of the first part is the
lawful owner of the premises granted, and seized thereof in
fee Simple" absolute and that he will warrant and defend
the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable possession
of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns --
forever.
