This agreement made on the 22nd day of November AD one thousand
eight hundred and fifty six between George L. Brown of the County
of Alachua and State of Florida of the first part, and George M. Galpin
of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said George L. Brown agrees for
the consideration hereinafter specified, to furnish the said party of the second
part, with a stock of goods, and groceries liquors and other merchandize--
that may be proper, and necessary for carrying on the business of a retail
grocery or bar. The stock aforesaid to be laid down at the original
Charleston cost, including transportation expenses without deduction --
made of any depreciation on account of damages wear or tear.
In consideration of the premises the said George M. Galpin agrees
to pay house rent together with the fixtures and furniture thereunto
appertaining - attend to the sale of said goods, - Keep a fair and correct
account of the proceeds of said stock and pay over from time to
time five per cent on the amount of said stock furnished by the said
party of the first part -- The said George M. Galpin giving and
granting unto the said George L. Brown full power at any time
to revoke the agency created, and to take into his possession
and control the stock furnished, and on the final settlement
of the agency the said party of the second part to discharge
all balances that may be found on examination by reason
of the premises

This Indenture made the Sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred fifty six Between Charles W. Johnston now
of County of Hernando and State of Florida but lately of the County
of Alachua and State of Florida of the first part and Edward E.
Adamson of the District of Kershaw and State of South Carolina
of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of Six thousand dollars to
him in hand well and truly paid by the said party of the second
part of and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the
reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained sold
and conveyed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and con-
vey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
all that Certain part or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in
the County of Alachua and State of Florida and known designated and
described as follows to Wit: The north half of Lot number four of Moses
E. Levys Twenty thousand acre Grant Situated within the Arredondo
Grant and adjoining Lands owned by M.S. Perry to the East of A.W.
Hall and others. Also the entire interest of the said party of the first part
in and to One hundred and Sixty Acres of Land in the North West
Corner of Lot number twelve of the aforesaid twenty thousand acre Grant.
