and witnessed by Shedreck Sapp Sen and Shed
reck Sapp Jr in my presence on the 6th day

  Know all men by these presents that I Dicy
Sapp the wife of William Sapp the granter of
the foregoing deed for the conveyance of real
estate for and in consideration of the
premises in said deed recited and in further
consideration of the sum of one dollar to
me paid by Burrell J. Stokes before the ense
aling of these presents, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, do renounce, release
and relinquish unto the said Burrell
J. Stokes all my right claim or Equity
of Dower in and to the premises by said 
Deed conveyed, as fully and absolutely as I
might, or could in any way do the same
Witness my hand and seal, this Sixth
day of Janry AD 1857.

Alachua County   } On this Sixth (6) day of Jany in
the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hun
dred an fifty seven before the subscriber a Justice
of the peace in and for the State and County
personally came and appeared Dicy Sapp well
known to me to be the wife of William Sapp
who being duly examined acknowledged and declared
that she signed sealed and delivered the fore
going (or within) indeture for the purpose and
with the intent thereby to convey all her interest
and to relinquish and renounce all her dower
and right of Dower in and to the said tracts
Lot or parcel of land and premises in said In
denture mentioned and discribed and sold and con-
veyed and that the same was done by her free
ly and voluntarilly and without any compulsion
constraint or apprehension of fear of or from 
her said husband, the said William Sapp Jr
Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed
my seal this the day and year above written
