Alachua County   } Know all men by these Pre-
sents that whereas and in consideration of Five
hundred and sixty Dollars to me paid in hand
by William Axer this day the fifth day of
March 1857. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that
I G.P. Thomas in consideration of the Premises
above named hath given granted bargained
and sold and conveyed unto the said William
Axer and to his heirs and assigns all that parcel
or Lot of Land known as Lot 4 Block 4 Range 4
In the Town of Gainesville and I the said G.P. Thomas
do and will forever warrant and defend the premises
aforesaid to the said William Axer and his heirs
and assigns. In Witness of my hand & seal.

East Florida   } This Indenture entered into
on the Sixth day of January one thousand Eight
hundred and fifty seven between James B. Bailey
and Mary N. Bailey his wife of the first part
and G.I. Hires of the second. Witnesseth
For and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred and fifty five dollars: the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged The parties of the
first part have this day bargained and sold
to the party of the second part the following
Lot or parcel of Land (Beginning at a stake
on the Eastern Boundary of the Town of Gaine
sville Running East two hundred and twenty
yards Thence North one hundred yards Thence
west to the said Boundary Thence south along said
Boundary to the point of Beginning, containing
four and half acres more or less and known
as Lot N four (4) East Gainesville Lying and
being in Section four, Township Ten Range Five
Arredondo Grant, to have and to hold to the
said party of the second part, with all the
appurtenances thereunto belonging and we do
further covenant, with the party of the second
part, that we are lawfully seized of the above de-
scribed lot of Land. That, we have good right to
sell the same, and will warrant and defend h***
in the peaceable, possession of the same against
the legal claims of all persons whomsoever
To all which hereby bind our heirs Executors or
assigns forever. In witness whereof we have herein
put our hands and seals The day and year above
