Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents 
that I J. Austin McCreight of the aforesaid State
and County for and in consideration of the
sum of one hundred and sixty two 50/100 Dollars
($162.50) to me in hand paid by James T. Thomas
of the State and County aforesaid this the 9th day
of March 1857. Now this indenture Witnesseth
That the said J. Austin McCreight for and in
consideration of the sum above mentioned have
granted bargained sould released and conveyed
and confirmed unto the said J.T. Thomas all my
claim title & right in a certain Lot of Land
lying and being in the Town of Gainesvile Desc=
ribed as Lot one (1) Block three (3) Range four (4)
in the Town of Gainesville and the said J. Aus
tin McCreight, his heirs and assigns shall war
rant the same to the said James T. Thomas his
heirs & assigns forever against the lawful
claims of all persons. In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and
year above written

that I Andrew Robb Judge of Probate in and for
said State and County, for and in consideration of
the sum of fifty two dollars lawful money of the United
States of America paid by Jas Austin McCreight
to Jas B. Bailey Treasurer of Said County The
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have gran
ted bargained sold released conveyed and confirmed
unto J. Austin McCreight his heirs and assigns the
following Lot of Land in the Town of Gainesville Viz-
Lot 1 Block 3 Range 4 and I the said Andrew
Robb by virtue of the power vested in me as Ju
dge of Probate for my self as such Judge and for
my successors in office do and will by these prese
nts forever warrant and defend the premises afo-
resaid to the said Jas Austin Mc0Creight
and to his heirs and assigns In witness where
of, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my private seal there being no seal of office
