This indenture maid the thirteenth day of September
in year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and
fifty six between George W. Sanchez of the County of Ala
chua State of Florida of the first part, and Benjamin
J. Townsend of the same place of the second part.
Witnesseth That the said party of the first part for and
in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful
money of the United States, to him in hand paid be
fore the delivery hereof hath bargained and sould and by
these presents doth grant and convey to the said par
ty of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all
that certain piece or parcel of Land lying and be-
ing in the County of Alachua & State of Florida and
which is known and described as follows to wit. West 1/2
of NW quarter of Section No five in Township No 10
S of Range No 14 E containing Eighty acres more
or less together with all and singular the tenements
heridaments and appurtanances and all the Estate
title and interest of the said party of the first part
therein and the said party of the first part doth hereby
covenant and agree with the said party of the se=
cond part, that at the time of the delivery hereof the
said party of the first part, is the lawful owner of the
premises above granted and seized thereof in fee simple
absolute and that he will warrant and defend the
above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable
possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs
and assigns for Ever, In witness whereof I have here-
unto set my hand and seal this the thirteenth day
of September, one thousand Eight hundred and fifty
six.

Know all men by these presents that I Harriet A. Sanchez
wife of George W. Sanchez the grantor of the foregoing deed
for the conveyance of Real Estate for and in consid
eration of the premises in the said deed recited
as well as in consideration of the sum of one dollar
to me in hand paid by Benjamin J. Townsend the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby renou
nce, release and relinquish unto the said Benjamin
J. Townsend all my right claim or Equity of Dower
in and to the premises described in said deed as
fully as I might or could do the same. Witness
my hand and seal this 13th day of Sept 1856.
