Alachua County   } This Indenture made this first
day of September Eighteen hundred and fifty six
between William G. Sikes of the County and St
ate aforesaid of the first part and Thomas A.
Bradford of the same place of the second part
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the
sum of Thirteen hundred dollars in hand paid at
and before the ensealing and delivery of these pres-
ance, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowl-
edged, the party of the first hath bargained sold
and released hereto the party of the second part
all that peace or parcel of Land Lying & Being
in the County of Alachua and State of Florida
Known and described on the Map of the United
States surveys and subject to Entry at Land
office Newnansville East Florida To wit The S
W quarter of Section (35) thirty five Township
Eight Range (18) Eighteen East, containing
one hundred and sixty acres more or less Now,
I William G. Sikes for my self, my heirs
Executors and administrators & assigns do
sell and convey unto the said Thomas A. Bra
dford his heirs and assigns forever the above
described premises the legal title whereof I am
seized and further I do warrant and will forever
defend unto the said Thomas A. Bradford his
heirs and assigns against the claims of all
persons whatsoever Witness my hand and seal

and forever Quit Claim all my right of Dower in
and to the aforementioned and described premises and
that I do the said freely and voluntarily and without
any fear or apprehension of fear of or from my said
