Chatham County   } Know all men by these pres
ents that I George Clinch of the County of Camden
and State of Georgia have constituted made and
appointed and by these presents do make constitute 
and appointed John H.U. Clinch of the County of
Camden and State aforesaid my true and lawful
Attorney for me and in my name, place and stead to
attend generally to my business property to collect
and receipt for any moneys due or coming to me
to settle or compound my debts to dispose or make
sale of any of my property if in his judgement
it should be necessary or beneficial to me and for that
purpois in my name to make sign seal execu
te and deliver proper title and conveyances therefor
and in the transaction of my business in my
name to make and sign any promissory note
Drafts Bills of Exchange or other papers to preven
t or defend any legal proceedings which may be in
stituted for or against me and for that purpois
in my name to make sign seal and deliver
any bonas or other writings therefor necessary and
any mortgages: Giving and granting unto my
my said attorney full and whole power and author
ity in and about the premises: and generally to do
and perform all and every act or acts thing and
things device and devices in the law whatsoever nee-
dful and necessary to be done in and about the prem
ises and for me and in my name to do execute
and perform as legally and amply to all intents
and purposes as I might or could do if I were
personally present and any attorney or attorneys un
der him for the purposes aforesaid to make and sub
stitute hereby ratifying and confirming all they
my said attorney or his substitutes shall lawfully
do or by virtue hereby notwithstanding the revocation
of his power expressed or implied by death or other wise
until notice thereof shall be received by my said
attorney. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal the twenty fifth day of May
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and fifty five
