to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged do hereby relinquish unto
the said James C. Standley of the County of Ala
chua and State of Florida and to his heirs and as-
signs forever all my Dower and right of dower
in and to a certain tract of land Situated in the
County and State aforementioned, and conveyed by deed
to the Said James C. Standley, by my Said husband
on the Second day of February 1836 and known and 
described in Said deed as follows. To Wit, the north
west quarter of Section twenty Six all in Township
No 8 Eight South of Range Eighteen (18) East Con-
taining two hundred and twenty five & 50/100 acres more
or less together with all the privileges, improvements
and appurtinances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining Witness my hand and Seal
this 2nd day of January 1857

that I Elizabeth Sikes of the County and State afore
Said wife of Simon Sikes do hereby acknowledge tha
t the foregoing relinquish of dower was maid by me
freely and voluntarily and without any apprehension
constraint or fear of or from my Said husband
