lately recovered in the Circuit Court of Alachua
County against the said T.J. Prevat & Co. And whereas
the said Sheriff by virtue of said writ did on the
first day of February 1856 levy upon and seized the prop
erty herein after described and where as the said George
B. Ellis as Sheriff as aforesaid did by virtue of said
writs and pursuant to the statute in such case
made duly advertise the said property for sale on the
third day of March 1856 being the day of the date of these
presents and did on this day sell the same at public
auction according to law, to the said David S. Rid-
aught for the sum of Twenty five dollars being the high
est sum bid for the same. Now therefore know ye
that I the said George B. Ellis as said Sheriff by vir
tue of the said writs and of the statute in such
case made and provided in consideration of the said
sum of Twenty five dollars to me paid by the party
of the second part have granted bargained and sould
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever all the following property to wit: a lot or tract
of land situate and being in said County of Alach
ua and described as follows to wit: E1/2 of W1/2 of the
NE1/4 Section 11 T.8 S of R 18 E. containing forty
acres more or less. Together with all the right
title and interest which the said T.J. Prevat & Co
had in the said property Jointly and severally
And the Same to hold as fully as I the said Sheriff
as aforesaid under said writ might could or ought
to sell and convey the same. Given in as my ha
nd and seal this the 20th day of September AD 1856

This Indenture made the third day of March in the year
of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty six Between
John P. Hone and Robert S. Hone acting Executors of the
last will and testament of Philip Hone late of the
City of New York deceased parties of the first and
Henry G. Marquand of the same City party of the
second part Witnesseth That the said party of the first
part by virtue of the power and authority to them
given in and by the said last will and testament and
for and in consideration of the sum of Two Tho
usand five hundred dollars, lawful money of the
United States to them in hand paid at or before
the ensealing of these presents by the said party of
the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged |
