                    in and for said County personally came
Elijah B. Beagle who being duly sworn says that he
is the identical Elijah B. Beagle that signed the foregoing
article of agreement and that he signed the same
freely for the purposes therein contained

Alachua County   } This Indenture entered into this third day
                   of January A.D. Eighteen hundred and
Sixty three between Samuel B. McLin party of the first part
and Mary E. Scott party of the second part both of
the County and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
Five hundred and Thirty Eight Dollars to him in
hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl-
edged, hath bargained and sold and by these pres-
ents doth grant and convey unto the party of the second
part, one half of an undivided interest in a certain
tract of Land lying and being situate in the County
of Alachua State of Florida & known as the McLin & Scott
Entry in section nine and Sixteen Tp 7 Range 18 E as
as will be fully seen by reference to the Entry made
by Either of S. McLin or W.W. Scott on the plat book
filed in the land office also half interest in all lands
bought of William B. Wimberly or Oliver Bryant lying
and being situate in same sections township & Range
  The above described lands having been bought & entered
by the said Samuel B. McLin and William W. Scott jointly
and this Indenture now being given to perfect titles in
Mary E. Scott to the undivided half interest owned by the
said Mary E. Scott.
           To have and to hold the said lands
to the party of the second part her heirs and assigns
forever in fee simple.
           In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affixed my seal this the day
and year first above written.
