and for the County of Alachua and to the said Sheriff
delivered he was commanded that of the good and
Chattels Lands and Tenements of John Crews Pelot he
cause to be made the sum of Seven hundred and
Seventy three Dollars & seventy three cents with interest
thereon and costs of suits, Jacob Goodwin and
Henry Bradford Lately Recovered in the Circuit Court
of Alachua County against John Crews Pelot and
whereas as the said Sheriff By virtue of said writs
did on the third day of January AD 1860 Levy upon
and Seize the property hereinafter described and whereas
as the said S.W. Burnett as Sheriff as aforesaid did by
virtue of Said writs and pursuant to the Statute in
such cases made duly advertise the said property
for sale on the 4th day of March 1861 being the day
of the date of these presents and did on this day sell
the same at public auction according to Law to the
Said L.M. Scarborogh for the sum of Eighty Dollars
being the highest sum bid for the same, Now therefore
Know ye that I the said S.W. Burnett as said Sheriff
By virtue of the said writs and of the Statutes in
Such case made and provided in consideration of
the said sum of Eighty Dollars to me paid by the party
of the second part have granted bargained & sold and
by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever all the following Property viz the lots or
tracts of Land situate and being in the Town of
Newnansville in the said County of Alachua and
described as Lots No Six (6) seven (7) & Eight (8) in Block
Three Range One & Lots two (2) and three (3) in Block
three (3) Range (2) two according to the original map
of Said Town of Newnansville together with all the rights
titles and Interest which the Said John Crews Pelot
had in the said property Jointly and Severally
and the same to hold as fully as I the said Sheriff
as aforesaid under Said Writs might could or under
said writs ought to sell and convey the same.
       Given under my hand and Seal this 4th
day of March A.D. 1861
