This Indenture made the Sixth day of November in
the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred &
Sixty Six between Thomas W. McCaa and Mary M. McCaa
his wife of the County of Alachua and State of Florida of
the first part and Thomas C. Ellis of the same place
of the Second part
Witnesseth that the said party
of the first part for and in consideration of the
Sum of Three hundred dollars lawful money to them
paid, before the delivery hereof, have bargained and
Sold, and by these presents do grant and Convey
to the said party of the Second part, his heirs and
assigns forever, all that certain piece or parcel of land
lying and being in the County of Alachua and State
of Florida and which is Known and described as
follows, To wit The South half of the South West quarter
of Section Twenty Eight (28) in Township No. Nine (9) in
Range No. Twenty (20) Known as being part of the Arredo
=ndo grant, Containing Eighty Acres (80) more or less
together with all and Singular the tenements herid
=itaments and appurtinances, and all the Estate, title
and interest of the said party of the first part
therein. And the Said party of the first part, do hereby
covenant and agree with the said party of the Second
part that at the time of the delivery hereof, the said
party of the first part are the lawful owners of the
premises above granted and Seized thereof in fee Simple
absolute and that they will warrant and defend
the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable
possession of the Said party of the Second part, his
heirs and assigns forever ~ In Witness whereof

Know all men by these presents that
I, Mary M. McCaa, wife of Thomas W. McCaa, the
grantor in the foregoing deed, do hereby acknowle
=dge, that I Signed, Sealed, and executed the Same
with the intent thereby to renounce, relinquish, and
forever quit claim to my dower, and right of dower,
all and Singular the land and premises in the said
deed mentioned, And the said renunciation and
relinquishment was made freely and Voluntarily
and without any Compulsion, constraint or apprehension |
