to him the said George M. Wilcox & his heirs and

Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the Twenty
                   ninth day of January in the year
of our Lord Eighteen hundred & sixty seven between
James Humphreys & his wife Rebecca Humphreys on the
one part & James Sykes all of said County and State
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum
of Two hundred & Seventy five Dolars to them in hand 
paid at & before the sealing & delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said
James & his wife Rebecca hath granted bargained
sold & conveyed & doth by these presents grant
bargain sell & convey unto said James Sykes his
heirs & assigns a certain Tract of Land Situate lying
& being in the County of Alachua & known & described
in the United States Survey of the same as the
South half of the West half of the North west quarter
of section Twenty Township nine Range (14) Fourteen
South of East containing Forty acres more or less to
have and to hold unto the said James Sykes
his heirs & assigns together with all the rights
titles and membership thereunto in any manner
