Know all men by these presents I hereby appoint
and constitute J.H. Roper Gainesville Fla my legally
constituted Agent to sell and dispose of my tract
of land lying east of Gainesville containing four
hundred & forty acres more or less adjoining
Msser Roper Rain McCaa Savage &Co also
Mrs Vanlandinham also agent to c**** ****
account & forward proceeds to me

This Indenture made the fifteenth day of February
one thousand eight hundred & sixty seven between
J.H. Roper unto by virtue of his power of Attorney from
D.G. Anderson is delegate with authority to sell
said D.G. Andersons land & hereby acts as party of
the first part in town of Gainesville Alachua
County & State of Florida & Edmund Jones of the
same place of the second part.
     Witnesses that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum
of three hundred dollars lawful money of the
United States to him duly paid before
the delivery hereof hath bargained and sold
& by these presents doth grant & convey to the
said party of the second part his heirs and 
assigns forever all that certain peice or parcel
of land lying and being in the County of
Alachua & State of Florida & which is known
& described as follows to wit, In section 
four township ten (10) Range (20) twenty, begin
thirty feet south of the South West corner of
W.P. Scott lot of two acres purchased from
D.G. Anderson & run South four hundred & ten
feet to within thirty feet of J.H. Ropers line
thence East Eight hundred & fifty five feet
to a stake, thence North four hundred & ten feet
to a stake, thence West eight hundred & fifty
five feet to the North West corner of said lot
containing ten acres more or less bounded on the
North by W.P. Scotts lot & D.G. Andersons Land
on the East by D.G. Andersons land on the
South by J.H. Ropers land on the West by
the Derr heirs lot together with all and
Singular the tenements hereditaments and
