Alachua County   } This Indenture made the twenty 
                   third day of January in the year
One thousand eight hundred and sixty seven between
Edmund Jones and V.C. Jones his wife of the
County and State aforesaid parties of the first part
and James H. Roper of the County and State
first above written party of the second part.
  Witnesseth That the said parties of the first
part, for and in consideration of the sum
of three hundred Dollars lawful money of
the United States to them in hand paid
by the party of the second part at or
before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl-
edged, have remissed, released and quit
claim, and by these presents do remise
release and quit claim unto the said party
of the second part and to his heirs, ad-
ministrators and assigns forever all the fol-
lowing described parcels or tracts of land con-
taining together four hundred and eighty one
acres and thirty two hundredths of an acre

in Hillsborough County in the State of Florida
to wit, all that certain piece, parcel or tract
of Land lying situate and being in the County
of Hillsborough and State of Florida and known
upon the maps of the public surveys of the
United States as the East half of the south
