Alachua County   } This Indenture made this twenty
                 } fourth day of November in the year
of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & sixty six
between Mrs Margaret L. Richardson and her husband
J.M. Richardson of Alachua County and State of
Florida of the first part and George H. Miller of
Fairfield District and State of South Carolina being
sole qualified Executor of the Estate of John L. Young
decd of the second part, Witnesseth That the
said G.H. Miller Executor aforesaid after giving
due notice did on the fifth day of this
present month sell at publick sale a certain
lot or parcel of land in the Town of Gainesville
belonging to the Estate of J.L. Younge decd for
the sum of two hundred and thirty five
dollars ($235.00) it being the highest and best
bid and that the said Mrs Margaret L.
Richardson was the purchaser. The number
size Block and Range of the said lot being
described in a deed for the same bearing date
with this indenture, That the said J.M. Rich
ardson & Margaret Richardson did give their
promissory note bearing date with the inden-
ture for the sum of two hundred and thirty
five dollars payable in specie or its equive-
lent twelve months after date with interest
from date payable in specie or its equivalent
at the rate of seven per cent payable an-
nually. Now this writing intended as a 
mortgage, Witnesseth that the said J.M. Rich-
ardson and Margaret Richardson his wife for
the better securing the payment of the
said sum of money mentioned in said
note, and interest thereon & also for and
in consideration of the sum of one Dollar
to them paid by the said G.H. Miller Executor
of the last will and testament of John
L. Younge decd have granted bargained
sold alienated & conveyed and by these pres
ents do grant bargain sell and convey
unto the said G.H. Miller executor of the 
last will and testament of John L. Young dec
  His heirs and assigns all that certain
peice or parcel of land situate in
the town of Gainesville Alachua County
State of Florida known and described
as Lot (No 2) number two Block five (5)
