Range twenty (20) in all Six hundred & forty
acres more or less with the rights members and
appurtenances thereunto belonging, After said
tract or parcel of land was duly advertised
according to law the same was put up
and exposed to Sale to the highest bidder
at the door of the Court House at Gainesville
in said County within the legal hours of Sale
on Tuesday the 15th day of January AD
1867 by C.E. Valandingham, administratrix as
aforesaid when said tract of Land was Knocked
off to William Strickland at the price or sum
of One thousand Dollars he being the highest
and best Bidder, and return of said Sale
having been made to the Office of Judge
of Probate and final Deed of Sale having
been made by him after land being filed
in accordance with the statute in such cases
made and provided Now for and in consid-
eration of the said Sum of One thousand Dol-
lars cash in hand paid by him the said
William Strickland at and before the sealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt
Whereof is hereby acknowledged, said C.E.
Valandingham, Administratrix as aforesaid
hath granted bargained and sold & by these
presents doth grant bargain and sell unto
the said William Strickland his heirs Executors
Administrators and assigns the said parcel
of land with all the rights members and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining unto him the said William
Strickland his heirs, executors Administrators
and assigns, to his and their own proper use
benefit and behoof forever in fee simple
