This Indenture made on the Eleventh day of March
in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred &
Sixty five between Virginia Johnson of the County of Alachua
and State of Florida party of the first part and James
W. McRae of the County & State aforesaid party of the
second part, Witnesseth that the said party of 
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
Fifteen thousand dollars lawful money of the Confed
=erate States to her in hand paid at and before the enseal
=ing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath Granted, bargained, sold
aliened remised, released, conveyed and confirmed and
by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise
release and convey and confirm unto the said party of
the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever
all the following described real estate lying and
being and being situated in the Town of Gainesville
and County and State herein before mentioned to wit
One improved lot or parcel of Land known in the plan
or plat of said Town of Gainesville as Block number two (2)
in range number six (6) and containing one (1) acre of
land more or less and the East half of a certain lot
or parcel of Land containing one half (1/2) acre more or
less described as follows in the plan or plat of the afore
=said town of Gainesville - Block number one (1) in
Range Number four (4) - Together with all and 
singular the tenements heriditaments and appurtinances
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all
the Estate, title and interest of the said party of the
first part therein - and the said party of the first part
doth hereby covenant and agree with the said party of
the second part that at the time of the delivery hereof the
said party of the first part is the lawfull owner of the
premises above granted, and seized thereof in fee
simple absolute and that she will warrant and 
defend the above granted premises in the quiet and
peaceable possession of the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns forever - In witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal

Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five
