of our Lord One thousand eight hundred
and fifty six between John L. Adams
of the State and County aforesaid of the
first part and George Gillett of the
second part, Witnesseth, that the said
John L. Adams for and in consideration
of the sum of twelve hundred dollars
to him in hand paid by the said
George Gillett the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted
bargained, sold conveyed and delivered
and by these presents doth grant
