This Indenture made this the 15th day of April
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred & sixty between Geo A. Penny of the
County of Alachua State of Florida of the first
part and Mary L. Cannon of the aforesaid County
and State of the second part; Witnesseth
That the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Five hundred & fifty
Dollars lawful money of the United States of
America to him in hand paid at & before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents doth
bargain grant sell release and convey to the party
of second part her heirs and assigns forever
all that certain piece or parcel of land
lying and being in the town of Gainesville
and described as follows, To Wit Block 4 of
Range 5 together with all and singular the
tenements hereditaments & appurtenances and all
the Estate title & interest of the said party of the
first part therein contained, And the party of the
first part doth hereby consent & agree to & with the
party of the second part that at the time of the
delivery hereof the said party of the first part is
the lawful owner of the premises above granted
and assigned thereof in fee simple absolute
  And that he will warrant & defend the above
granted premises in the quiet and peaceable pos-
session of the party of the second part her heirs
and assigns forever, In witness whereof I hereunto
