Alachua County   } This Indenture made
                 } this sixth (6th) day of
May AD 1867 between J.O. Cosby Sheriff
of County and State aforesaid of the 
first part and Mrs Margarett A. Ellis
Miss Jane Scott and Miss Caroline Scott
also of said County & State of the second
part, Witnesseth that Whereas the
said J.O. Cosby, Sheriff as aforesaid,
did on the first day of April AD
1867 expose to Sale by virtue of
sundry Executions issuing out of the
Circuit Court of County & State aforesaid
a certain lot or parcel of land herein-
after more fully described before the
Court House door in said County
between the legal hours of sale and after
advertising the same according to law
for the space of thirty days thereafter did
sell the said Land on the first Monday
of this present month being the day
and date of these presents, said Land
being sold as the Property of W.W. Scott
under and by virtue of sundry Executions
issued from the Circuit Court of County
and State aforesaid, in favor of M.W.
Burtis & Co and others against W.W. Scott
and the said Margarett A. Ellis, Jane
Scott & Caroline Scott having been
the highest bidders for the same and
it being Knocked off to them as the
purchasers at the sum hereinafter named
         Now the said J.O. Cosby Sheriff
as aforesaid in consideration of the
premises and of the sum of Twenty
Dollars ($2000) to him in hand paid
at and before the signing and delivery
of these presents, has granted bargained
sold, aliened and conveyed, and by 
these presents does convey unto the
said Margarett A. Ellis, Jane Scott,
& Caroline Scott their heirs and
assigns the aforesaid lot of Land
lying and being in the County and
State aforesaid and Known as the
West 1/2 of SW1/4 of SE1/4 and E1/2 of
SE1/4 of SW1/4 of section (13) Township 7
