State of Florida  } This Indenture made
County of Alachua } this the 8th day of
                  } May in the year
Eighteen hundred and sixty seven between
J.C. Gardner Judge of Probate of said
County & his successor in Office of
the first part & William H. Cooper of the
County & State aforesaid of the second
part, Witnesseth that the said J.C.
Gardner Judge of Probate as aforesaid
for and in consideration of the sum
of Eighty Dollars to him in hand
paid by the said W.H. Cooper the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
does by these presents give grant
bargain sell and convey unto the
said William H. Cooper his heirs
and assigns a certain lot lying
& being in the town of Gainesville
State & County aforesaid & known &
distinguished in the plan of said
town as Lot four (4) Block (4) four
Range three (3) together with all
the privileges thereto in any wise
appertaining. To have and to hold
the above granted premises to the
said William H. Cooper his heirs
& assigns in fee simple.
    And the said J.C. Gardner Judge
of Probate & his successors in Office
will & they shall the said property
to the said William H. Cooper his
heirs Executors & Administrators
forever warrant & defend against
the lawful demands of all
persons whatever.
    In testimony whereof the said
J.C. Gardner Judge of Probate as
aforesaid has hereunto set his hand
and seal of Office this the day &
