Beginning at the North East corner of the South
East qr of section (27) twenty seven Township (10) ten
South Range (22) Twenty two East running due
South one quarter of a mile thence due east
(140) one hundred & forty yds thence due North
one quarter of a mile and thence to
the point of commencement containing (12 58/100)
Twelve fifty eight hundreth acres To have and
to hold the said before described lot or
parcel of land. Together with all the rights
and appurtenances thereunto belonging to him
the said J.M. Hawthorn his heirs and 
assigns forever in fee simple and
the said John W. Peacock for himself his heirs
Executors and administrators, will forever
warrant and defend the rights and title
thereunto against the claims of all persons
whatsoever in testimony whereof the said
John W. Peacock hereunto sets his hand and
seal This second day of October (1866) one
thousand eight hundred and sixty six.

  Know all men by these presents that I
S.A. Peacock wife of John W. Peacock within
named for and in consideration of the
sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars
to me in hand paid by J.M. Hawthorn at 
and before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents have remised released and forever
quit claim unto the said J.M. Hawthorn
and to His heirs and assigns all and all
manner of Dower and right and title of
Dower and other interest right or title whatever
which I the said S.A. Peacock now have may
might should or by right ought to have or claim
of in to or out of the within described premises
with the appurtenances granted unto the said
J.M. Hawthorn and every part and parcel thereof
and I the said S.A. Peacock do hereby acknowl-
edge and declare that I freely and voluntarily
renounce and relinquish all my dower and
right and title of Dower in the premises within
named without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension
