Eighteen hundred & Sixty Seven, and did on that
day Sell the Same at Public Auction according to
law to the Said Jane A.L. Ingram for the Sum of Four
hundred Dollars, being the highest Sum bid for the
Same -- Now therefore, Know Ye, that I the said
John O. Cosby as Sheriff by virtue of the Said Several writs
and of the Statutes in Such Cases made & provided in
Consideration of the Sum of Four hundred dollars to me
paid by the party of the Second part have granted
bargained & Sold, and by these presents do grant
bargain & Sell unto the party of the Second part her heirs
and assigns forever all the following property Viz a lot or
tract of land Situate and lying near the Town of Gainesville
Alachua County and described as follows to wit, beginning
at a Stake on the Eastern boundary of the town of Gaines
=ville and running East Two hundred & twenty yards to
four
a Stake, thence North two hundred & forty^yards to a
Stake thence West to the Eastern boundary of the Town of
Gainesville to a Stake thence South along said Eastern
boundary to the point of beginning, Containing Ten acres
more or less lying & being in Section four Township Ten
Range Twenty, with all the rights titles and Interest
which the said Alexander Matheson had in Said property
Jointly & Severally, And the Same to hold as fully as I the
Said Sheriff as aforesaid under Said writs Might
or Could or ought to Sell & Convey the Same Given under
my hand and Seal this the first day of February
