This Indenture made and entered into on this
the fourth day of June in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hun
=dred & Sixty Seven by and between Edwin Pearce of the County of
Alachua & State of Florida party of the first part, and William
Strickland of the said County & State party of the second part
Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Fifty dollars Lawful Money of the
United States to him in hand paid at and before the enseal
=ing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged as well as for the further consideration of two
promissory notes for the sum of One hundred dollars each, bearing
date Jany first Eighteen hundred & sixty seven - Signed by the
said William Strickland and made payable to the order
of the said Edwin Pearce on the first day of March AD
Eighteen hundred & Sixty Seven, and on the first day of January
AD Eighteen hundred & sixty eight respectively - Hath granted
bargained, sold, conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents
doth grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm, unto the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, all
that certain tract lot or parcel of land lying and being situate in
the County of Alachua & State of Florida and known and
described as follows. The North East Quarter, of the South
West Quarter, and the South East Quarter of the North West
Quarter of Section Thirty four Township Eight South of Range
Twenty one East containing Eighty three acres, together with all and
singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtinances thereunto
belonging or in any wise appurtaining - To Have and to hold
the hereinbefore described lands unto the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns forever - In witness
whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his
hand and seal the day and year first above written
