for the County & State aforesaid Virginia C. Johnson,
who acknowledged that she executed the foregoing
deed for the purposes therein expressed whereupon it
is prayed that the same may be recorded, In witness

                   This Indenture made on this
Fifth day of March in the year One thousand Eight
hundred and sixty six, Between James H. Roper of the afore
said County & State of the first part and John H. Mingert
of the same place of the second part Witnesseth: that
the said party of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of Six hundred dollars lawful money of
the United States, to him in hand paid by the said
party of the second part before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowled
=ged, hath granted, bargained and sold, aliened,
remised, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by
these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise
release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the
second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever all
that certain lot parcel & portion of land lying and being
in the Town of Gainesville County & State aforesaid known
and distinguished on the Map or plat of said Town of
Gainesville as Lot No four (4) Block No two (2) Range three
(3) and running West One hundred & fifty Seven feet (157)
thence South thirty feet (30) thence East One hundred &
fifty seven feet (157) thence North thirty feet (30) to the north
East corner of said lot together with all and singular
the tenements heriditaments and appurtinances thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and
reversions, remainder and remainders thereof, and also
all the estate, right title, interest, property, possession
claim, and demand whatsoever, as well in law as
in Equity of the said party of the first part of in and
to the above described premises and every part and
parcel thereof with the appurtinances To have and
to hold all and singular the above mentioned and 
described premises together with the appurtinances unto
the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
