                           This Indenture made and
entered into this Twenty seventh day of October One thousand
Eight hundred & fifty six, between James B. Bailey and
Mary N. Bailey his wife of the first part, and Barbara
Dinkins of the Second part Witnesseth For and in
consideration of the sum of Thirty Seven 58/100 Dollars, the 
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged the parties
of the first part have this day bargained and sold
and by these presents do bargain and sell to the party
of the second part, the following lot or parcel of land
to wit Beginning at the south East corner of the Town
of Gainesville, and running East two hundred and 
twenty yards to a Stake, thence North one hundred
yards to a Stake, thence West two hundred & twenty yards
(more or less) to the Eastern boundary of the said Town
of Gainesville thence South along said boundary
to the point of beginning - To Have and to hold
with all the appurtinances thereunto belonging to the
said Barbara Dinkins her heirs Executors administrators
or assign forever said lot known as lot Number seven (7)
East Gainesville" and lying and being in section four
(4) Township ten (10) Range twenty (20) Arredondo Grant
And the said parties of the first part do further coven
=ant with the party of the second part that they are lawfully
Seized of the above described lot of land, containing Four and
one half acres 4 1/2 more or less that they have good right to
sell the same, and they will warrant and defend the
said party of the second part in the peaceable possession
of the same against the legal claims of all persons what
soever, To all which we of the first part do by these presents
firmly bind ourselves our heirs executors or assigns forever
