Know all men by these presents that I Mary N. Bailey wife
of the maker of the within Deed for and in Consideration
of One dollar the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
& the further Consideration of the premises therein Stated
have relinquished & released to the Said Finger & Seagle
all my right of Dower to the within described lot of land
and I Mean this indenture to be as absolute & entire as I
could by any other possible means do~~ In Witness whereof
I have hereunto affixed my hand & Seal this 5th day of March

        Survey of the Corporate Limits of the Town of Gainesville
Fla made July 30th 1867 Viz Commencing at the Centre of
the Court House, proceed due North One half Mile where it
is established the first Station indicated by the Same being the
Centre of the Northern boundary Thence proceed due West
One half mile where is established the NW Corner of the
Corporate limits (Marked with a Stake) Thence proceed due
South One Mile where is established the S.W. Corner and
marked with a Stake, Thence proceed due E. One
Mile where is established the S.E. Corner and indica
=ted by a Stake Thence proceed due North One Mile where
is established the NE Corner & indicated by a Stake
Thence proceed due West One half Mile to the first Station
the Same Containing One Square Mile, with the Court House
on the Centre, and having metes and bounds as indicated
on a plot made and furnished to the Intendant Counsel

Memmorandum of agreement and entered into this 25th
day of July 1867 between Watson Porter now of the town of Gainesville
County of Alachua and State of Florida of the one part and
Samuel E. Clark of the City of Augusta County of Richmond
and State of Georgia of the other part Witnesseth that the said
Watson Porter has this day rented unto the said Samuel E. Clark
a Certain House and lot with its appurtinances in the Town
of Gainesville aforesaid Known as the Cannon House with the
exception of the House that is now used as the Post Office for
