County of Alachua } This Indenture made this 15th day
of January in the year Eighteen hundred and Sixty Seven
between Watson Porter of the County of Alachua and State
aforesaid of the first part and Stephen McCall &
Cornelius Rain of the same State & County of the second
part, Witnesseth, that the said Watson Porter for and
in consideration of the sum three thousand five hundred
Dollars, to him in hand paid by the said Stephen
McCall and Cornelius Rain, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, does by these presents, give, grant, bargain
sell and convey unto the said Stephen McCall & Cornelius
Rain their heirs and assigns a certain piece or parcel of land
lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and disting
=uished in the map of the Arredondo Grant" as the undivi
=ded half of Section (9) Township ten (10) Range twenty (20)
Containing Six hundred & forty acres less ninety two formerly
conveyed to John L. Young and the undivided half of Section
(16) Sixteen Township ten (10) & Range Twenty (20) containing (720)
Seven hundred & twenty acres with a reservation of one acre
for a grave yard, together with all the privileges and
appurtinances, thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
  To have and to hold the above granted premises to the
said Stephen McCall & Cornelius Rain their heirs and assigns
in fee simple. And the said Watson Porter will and his heirs
Executors & Administrators shall the said property to the said
Stephen McCall & Cornelius Rain, their heirs Executors Administrators
forever warrant & defend against the lawful deands of all
persons whatever - In testimony whereof the said Watson Porter
