County of Alachua } Know all men by these presents
that this Indenture made this day between Mary N.
Bailey, Cosmo O. Bailey, Charles B. Bailey, and Cosmo
F. Bailey as the next friend of the minor children Mary
E. Bailey, Henry J. Bailey, Alexander C. Bailey, Orville B.
Bailey and Margaret R. Bailey, of the first part
State and County aforesaid, and John R. Bevill of
the second part of the same place, Witnesseth for
and in consideration of the sum of six hundred
and seventy dollars paid by the party of the second
part to the party of the first part at and before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, and by virtue of a
decree of the Judge of our Circuit Court made at
Gainesville Alachua County at the June Term of
said Court in the year Eighteen hundred & sixty seven
as appears by record of said Court, hath bargained
sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain
sell and convey unto the said party of the second
part, his heirs and executors Administrators and
assigns forever all that piece or parcel of land
Situated lying and being in the County of Alachua
State of Florida in or near the Town of Gainesville
Known and described as follows to wit Commencing
thirty feet from the South East corner of Mr J.D. Matheson
lot or place where he is now residing on Main
Street in the town of Gainesville running South two
and a half (2 1/2) chains thence West Eight chains (8)
thence North two and a half (2 1/2) chains thence East
Eight (8) chains to the place of commencement Then
commencing again thirty feet from the South East
corner of the above described lot running South
three (3) chains thence East one (1) chain thence South
thirteen and a half (13 1/2) chains thence along the
Florida Rail Road West nine and a half (9 1/2) chains
thence East Eight (8) chains to a place of commencement
each of the above named chains measuring Sixty Six feet
To Have and to hold the said piece or parcel of land
with all the appurtinances unto him the said John R. Bevill
& his heirs forever in fee simple and the parties of the first
part do bind themselves their heirs and assigns to
warrant and defend the right and title against
all lawful claims whatsoever - In Witness whereof the
said parties of the first part do hereunto set their hands
and affixed their Seals this the Seventeenth day of
September AD One thousand Eight hundred and
