Alachua County } This indenture made and executed
this 25th day of October AD 1867 between J.M. Parchman
of said County and State party of the first part and John
Fleming of the same place party of the second part Witnesseth:-
That the said party of the first part for and in consideration
of sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars lawful money of the United
States hath bargained, granted sold and conveyed unto the said
party of the second part a certain tract or parcel of land lying
and being situated in the County of Alachua and State afore=
said - Known as J.M. Parchmans land lying about a mile
south of Archer containing two Hundred and forty acres, more
or less together with one black mare one sorrel mare mule
one bay or dun horse mule together with the stock of hogs on
the place to have and to hold the above described property with
the right and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said
John Fleming his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple
Signed and sealed this 25th day of October AD 1867 - The above
written dead is indented as a mortgage to secure the payment
of the sum of Fifteen Hundred dollars in five promisory notes
made and executed by the said J.M. Parchman in favor of
the said John Fleming - Now therefore if the said J.M. Parch=
man shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said
John Fleming the amount of the said notes specified according
to the tenor and effect thereof then the above executed deade to
be null and void else to remain in full force and virtue.
