County of Alachua } This indenture made this the
8th day of November in the year
Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Seven between John A. and
Mary L. Cannon of the said State and County of the first
part and Frances W. Fontane of the same State and County
of the other part. Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of
the sum Five Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by the
said Frances W. Fontane the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
do by these presents, give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto
the said Frances W. Fontane her heirs and assigns a certain
piece and parcel of land lying and being situated in the
town of Gainesville Fla & known and distinguished in the
plan of said town as the South half of Block four (4) Range
five (5) containing one hundred feet front and running
back two hundred feet, together with all the privileges & appur=
tenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining.
To have and to hold the above granted premises to
the said Frances W. Fontane her heirs and assigns in fee
simple. - And the said John A. and Mary L. Cannon
will and their heirs Executors and Administrators shall the
said property to the said Frances W. Fontane her heirs, Exec=
utors and Administrators forever warrant and defend
against the lawful demands of all persons whatever.
In testimony whereof the said John A. and Mary
L. Cannon have hereunto set their hands and seals this
day and year above written }
