and executed by Charles W. Brush Executor to John E. Hicks
and James B. Brown dated 16th day of February AD 1867 to Certain
lands to wit NW1/4 of Section (5) Township (10) Range (20) Containing
160 acres - Now Know all Men by these presents that we
John E. Hicks and Mary Jane Hicks his wife for and in
Consideration of the Sum of Five hundred Dollars the receipt
is hereby acknowledged at and before the Sealing and delivery
of these presents hath bargained, Sold, Conveyed, released, and
Confirmed unto James B. Brown of Alachua County & State
of Florida his heirs Executors, and assigns all that Certain piece or
parcel of Land Situated and lying with lines of Arredondo Grant
in Alachua County & State of Florida which is distinguished on
Burr & Washington map of said Grant as the North West
Quarter of Section five Township Ten and Range Twenty Containing
One hundred & Sixty acres of land be the same more or less together
with all our rights & titles and interest therein or in any wise
appertaining, To Have and to Hold the above described premises
and appurtenances unto the said James B. Brown his heirs and
