               Article of Agreement made this Thirteenth
day of December One thousand eight hundred & sixty seven -
Between James B. Brown of the first part and Wm W. Thompson
of said State and County of the second part, as follows, to wit;
The said party of the first part, hereby covenants and agrees
that he will sell and convey in fee by a good and sufficient 
Deed to Lucy O. Thompson all that certain tract or parcel of
land situated in the County & State aforesaid in the City of Gaines
ville and known on the maps of the Publick survey of said
State & County as the "North west Quarter of Section (5) five, Town-
sip (10) Ten, of Range (20) Twenty east described as lot (4)
Four, containing (10) ten acres less fifteen feet to be left as a
street, to the said party of the first part the amount and interest
on a note dated this Thirteenth day of December AD one
thousand eight hundred and sixty seven, payable to the
said party of the first part on the first day of December
one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight. The said party of 
the second part having this day paid to the said party of
the first part One hundred Dollars as part of the purchase
money for the above described land the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged and the said party of the second part,
covenants and agrees with the said party of the first part,
to pay to him the said sum of Two Hundred Dollars in
manner aforesaid, with the interest aforesaid, Which pay-
ment is hereby declared to be a precedent to the execution
of the Deed by the said party of the first part, and in
case of failure on the part of the said party of the second part,
to fulfill this contract then this contract to be void, and
it is agreed, that the stipulation aforesaid are to apply to
and bind the heirs, executors, administrators and assignees
of the respective parties.
  In witness whereof the said parties have hereunto set
their hands & seals the day and year first above written

   This Indenture, made and entered into on this the Seventh
day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hun
=dred & Sixty two between James T. Soutter, of the City of New York
and John McRae of the City of Wilmington, Trustees, duly
appointed by the Florida Rail Road Company parties of the
first part, and Andrew Orman party of the Second part
