I have this day Sold to John H. Kennedy an amount of
Merchandise the Specifications of which are to be found
in an a list of said goods with prices attatched for the
following Considerations and Conditions: to Wit: The said
John H. Kennedy's notes for the sum of two thousand four
hundred & Nineteen dollars twelve Cents each bearing even
date with the execution of this bill of Sale, the last of
which notes is to bear interest at Eight Per Cent per annum
from its date, the rest are not chargeable with interest.
These notes are to be three in number, each for the amount
Stated above: It is a further Condition of this Sale that
any claim which the Said John H. Kennedy Shall create by
Sales of goods to J.R. Bevill Shall be accepted as a payment
upon the first note due, of these notes the first is made
payable on the first of November next, the Second on the
first of March 1868 and the third on the first of July 1868
the last of these notes is Secured by the endorsation of M.
L. Kennedy - that is the last two notes, The receipt of
these three notes, executed according to the terms of this bill of
Sale is hereby acknowledged that is to Say, One note for the
Sum of two thousand four hundred Nineteen dollars
and twelve Cents payable on the first of November 1867, One note
for the same Sum payable on the first of March 1868 and
One note for the same amount bearing eight per cent interest
from date payable on the first of July 1868. The two last being
made to the order of M.L. Kennedy and endorsed by him
