Alachua County   }  Sheriffs Deed
                                    This Indenture made
this 2nd day of December AD 1867 between John O. Cosby
Sheriff of said County of the first part, and J.H. Durkie
of the Second part: Whereas by virtue of a writ of "fieri
facias" Issued out of the Circuit Court holden in and
for the County of Alachua, and to the Sheriff delivered
he was Commanded that of the goods and chattles
lands & Tenements of Francis A.L. Cassidy he cause to
be made the Sum of Twelve hundred Sixty one Dollars
and twenty six Cents with interest therein and Cost of
Suit which Stephen F. Harvard lately recovered in the
Circuit Court of Alachua County against Francis
A.L. Cassidy, and whereas the said Sheriff, by virtue of
Said writs did on the twentieth day of September AD 1867
levy upon and Seize the property hereinafter described and
whereas the said John O. Cosby as Sheriff as aforesaid
in Such Cases made duly advertise the said property
for Sale on the Second day of December AD 1867 being the
day and date of these presents, and did on this day
Sell the Same at public auction according to law to
the said J.H. Durkie for the sum of Thirteen hundred and
forty Dollars being the highest Sum bid for the same
Now therefore know ye, that I the said John O. Cosby
as said Sheriff by virtue of the Said writs, and of the
Statutes in Such Case made and provided, in Consid
=eration of the said Sum of Thirteen hundred & forty
Dollars to me paid by the party of the Second part, have
granted, bargained, and Sold and by these presents do
grant, bargain & Sell unto the said party of the Second
part his heirs and assigns forever, all the following prop
=erty Viz being and lying in the Town of Gainesville, County of
Alachua, State of Florida, Commencing at the South
West Corner of Block 3 Range 2 according to a plan of
Said Town, running north One hundred & Sixteen feet, thence
running East One hundred & twenty feet, thence running
South One hundred & Sixteen feet, thence running West One
hundred & twenty feet, to point of beginning, embracing the
Southern portion of Lots 1 and 2 of the above mentioned
Block and Range, Together with all the rights, titles, inter
=est and appurtinances, which the said Francis A.
L. Cassidy had in the Said property, jointly and
Severally and the same to hold as fully as I the said
Sheriff as aforesaid under said writs might could or
ought to Sell and Convey the same - Given under
my hand and Seal this Second day of December AD
