Chesnut sign & seal the foregoing deed for the uses & purpo

Alachua County   } This Indenture made on the twenty
third day of October AD one thousand Eight hundred
& Sixty seven, between William Hickson, and Martha
Hickson his wife who joins in this conveyance for
the purpose of renouncing and relinquishing
her right of dower to the land hereinafter conveyed. W.J.
Pringle and Victoria his wife daughter of Levi Hickson
hereinafter mentioned of the first part and B.W. Powell
agent of Thos F. King now engaged in the business of
Merchandise for said King at Micanopy Florida of
the second part: Witnesseth that the said parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
four hundred dollars to them in hand paid the
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted
bargained & sold and by these presents do grant, bargain
& sell to the party of the second part as agent as aforesaid
all the right title & interest whatsoever to that tract of
land or town lot situated in said Town of Micanopy
known as the Knox House and the lot in which said
House is situated containing about two acres and being
the same lot or parcel of land conveyed and described in
the deed of conveyance made by William M. Knox & Susan
Knox his wife to Levi Hickson dated December second one thou
-sand Eight hundred & fifty six & described in said Deed as follows
to wit, Beginning at a point on the Public Square in
Micanopy at the North West corner of the lot now owned
by Jeremiah Gamage and running thence along the line
which forms the Northern Boundary of the lot of said Gamage
East Six hundred & fifty six feet, thence due north one hun
=dred & twenty five feet, thence due West Six hundred &
fifty six feet to the said Public Square, and thence south
along said Square, one hundred & twenty five feet to the point
of beginning and containing about two acres of land
the said lot being bounded on the East by land now
