Alachua County   } Know all Men by these presents that
I Cornelius Rain am held & firmly bound to J.H. Roper
his heirs and assigns in the just and full Sum of twenty
two hundred dollars for the true payment of which I
bind myself my heirs and assigns
                    The Condition of the above Bond is
Such the said J.H. Roper has this day made his
promisory note of this date for the aforesaid Sum of twenty
two hundred dollars payable on or before the first day
of January 1867, with Interest from date which if the
Said Roper Shall do then the said Rain Shall make
or cause to be made to the said Roper good and
Sufficient titles to the undivided half of the House
and Lot in Gainesville and all the lands near adjoin
=ing the Said Village of Gainesville recently purchased
by the Said Roper from Tillman Ingram which of the
Said Rain shall do then this Bond to be null and
Void else to remain in full force and virtue
