               This Deed made this Eighteenth day
of March in the year One thousand Eight hundred and
Sixty Eight between Charles W. Brush of Baltimore City in the
State of Maryland Sole surviving Executor of the last will and
testament of Nemehiah Brush late of New York deceased and
Thomas C. Ellis of Alachua County in the State of Florida -
Whereas, the said Nehemiah Brush departed this life leaving
a last will and testament bearing date the 10th day of March
in the year 1843, which will has been duly proven, and is now of
record in the office of the Clerk of the County of Alachua
And Whereas the said Charles W. Brush, the only surviving 
Executor in said will named, under and by virtue of the power
and authority vested in him in and by said will hath sold
to the said Thomas C. Ellis the lot of ground hereinafter
described for the sum of ($450) Four hundred and fifty
dollars which sum the said Ellis has paid to the said
Brush as is hereby acknowledged, Now this Indenture
Witnesseth that in consideration of the premises, and of
the sum of one dollar, the said Charles W. Brush Executor
as aforesaid doth grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto
the said Thomas C. Ellis his heirs and assigns, all that
certain lot of ground situate and lying in the town of
Gainesville in the said County of Alachua and State
of Florida and known and designated as Lot number
Twenty one (21) on the map or plat of "Brush Extension
of the Town of Gainesville" measuring from North to South
Six hundred & Sixty (660) feet, and from East to West two hun
=dred and Eight feet (208) be the same more or less. It being a
portion of the land in said County of Alachua that
belonged to the said Nehemiah Brush at the time of his
death and which subsequently thereto by a decree of the Circuit
Court of St Johns County in said State of Florida in the
case of Brush and others against To all and others, was
confirmed to his heirs, as by reference to said decree recorded
in the Clerks of Alachua County will fully appear -
Together with all and singular the Estate, right title
and interest which the said testator had in his life time
and at the time of his death in and to the same - To
Have and to Hold the premises above described with the
appurtinances, unto the said Thomas C. Ellis his heirs and
assigns forever - Witness my hand and seal
