State and Known as Lot (14) fourteen in North West
Quarter of section 5, Township (10) Ten, Range 20 Twenty
Containing (10) acres less fifteen (15) feet on each Side to
be left as a Street Together with all and Singular the
tenements, hereditaments, and appurtinances: and all
the Estate, title and interest of the Said parties of
the first part therein To have and to hold the Same
unto the Said parties of the Second part, his heirs and
assigns forever. And the Said parties of the first
part, do Covenant and defend the above granted
premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of
the Said party of the Second part, his heirs and

          At a Meeting of Citizens of Gainesville
The following Resolutions was adopted
1st Resolved that we form an association to be
called the Union academic Society of Gainesville for
the furtherance of Education in this Community
2nd Resolved that we heartily accept the Kindly offer
of the Bureau of the F. & A.L. to build a School House
at this place for the disseminating of Education
                        Also the following Officers and
trustees were duly elected          John E. Hills    President
