do express declare that whatever may be due them for Such
advancements Shall create a first lien or Mortgage to
Secure them in the ultimate payment of the advancements
And it is further agreed and I hereby expressly make
Known that the amount of Such advancements to be made
for the purpose above mentioned Shall be paid first above
all others out of Said Crops - Hereby authorizing the
Said Savage & Haile to take and possess themselves of
the Cotton and other Crops as they may be gathered, without
aid of the foreclosure of this instrument, And Should a
resort become necessary to the Court to enforce this instrument, then
I agree to pay all Cost including attorneys charges

Alachua County   } This Indenture made this Twenty first
day of April AD One thousand Eight hundred and Sixty
Eight between Benjamin W. Fontaine and Francis W.
Fontaine his wife of the County & State aforesaid parties
of the first part and George M. Coleman of said
County and party of the Second part, Witnesseth,
that the Said partys of the first part for and in
consideration of the Sum of One hundred and Sixty two
Dollars lawful Money of the United States to them duly
paid before the delivery hereof, hath bargained and Sold
and by these presents, doth, bargain, grant, and Convey
unto the Said party of the Second part, his heirs and
assigns forever all that Lot or parcel of Land lying and
being in the Town of Gainesville, County & State aforesaid
and which is Known and described as follows Viz
that portion of the West half of Block four (4)
Range five (5) fronting fifty (50) feet, and running
back East One hundred (100) feet lying and being
