                   Whereas A.S. Moseley of the County 
of Alachua and State of Florida, is a planter, engaged 
in the Cultivation and production of Cotton & provisions
and finds himself unable to carry on the Same without 
aid and assistance, and whereas George Savage and 
Edward Haile, partners using the name, Style and firm 
of Savage & Haile of Alachua County and State of Florida
have consented to make advances to the Said A.S.
Mosely for the purpose of enabling him to continue and 
complete the Culture and production of the Crops aforesaid 
and prepare the Same for Market
    Now This Indenture made and entered into this 
21st day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand 
Eight hundred & Sixty Eight, Witnesseth that the 
Said A.S. Moseley in Consideration of the Sum of One 
hundred Dollars already advanced in Corn, provisions
Merchandise of various Kinds and Money by the Said 
Savage & Haile to the Said A.S. Moseley, the receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the further Considera
=tion that the Said parties of the Second part (Savage & 
Haile) Shall and will make Such further advances in provi
=Sions, Supplies and assorted provisions Merchandise, as may 
be necessary to enable the party of the first part A.S. Moseley to
make and harvest and prepare for market the Said Crops 
Such further advances not to exceed the Sum of Five
hundred Dollars, as also the Sum of five dollars to the 
Said A.S. Moseley party of the first part in hand paid 
by the Said Savage & Haile, parties of the Second part
at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the 
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained
Sold Conveyed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, Sell 
and Convey unto the Said parties of the Second part and 
their assigns, all the right, title and interest of the said 
party of the first part, his heirs, executors and adm
=inistrators, in and to the Crops of every Kind and description 
now growing and being Cultivated on the lands worked by
him which lands are, Situated in Alachua County Fla
To have and to hold all and Singular the Crops above 
bargained and Sold, or intended So to be, unto the 
Said parties of the Second part, their executors, administrators 
and assigns forever. And I the Said A.S. Moseley party
of the first part, for my Self, my heirs, executors and
administrators, all and Singular the said property above 
bargained, Sold and Conveyed unto the Said parties of the 
Second part, their heirs executors, administrators and assigns
against me the Said Party of the first part, and against
