This Indenture made this Sixteenth
day of March AD 1868 between William C. Beckam
Tax assessor and collector of the County and State aforesaid
party of the first part and Stephen McCall of the
Said County & State party of the Second part, Witnesseth,
that whereas the said William C. Beckam, Tax assessor
and Collector as aforesaid, did by virtue of the authority
vested in him on the 20th December AD 1867, levy upon and
Seize the property hereinafter described and Whereas the
Said William C. Beckam as Tax Assessor and
Collector as aforesaid did in Conformity with the
Statutes in Such cases made and provided, duly
advertise the Said property for Sale from the 2nd day
of December 1867 to the 16th day of March AD 1868, being
the day and date of these presents and did on this
day Sell the Same at auction to Stephen McCall the
party of the Second part as aforesaid for the Sum of
fifty two 24/100 Dollars being the highest sum bid
for the same - Now therefore, Know Ye that I
the said William C. Beckam as Said Tax assessor
and Collector by virtue of authority in me Vested
and of the Statutes in Such case made and provided
