in consideration of the said Sum of Fifty two 24/100
Dollars to me paid by the party of the Second part, have
granted, bargained, and Sold, and by these presents
do grant, bargain, and Sell unto the said party of the
Second part his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain
piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of
Alachua, and State of Florida, Known and described
as follows to wit the East half of Section Twenty five, Township
9 Range 19, Containing three hundred & nineteen acres
levied upon as the property of Mrs Jessie R. Whaley to
Satisfy State and County taxes Together with all and
Singular the rights, titles, interest and appurtinances
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, which
the said Jessie R. Whaley had in the property and the
Same to hold as fully as I, the said Tax assessor and
Collector as aforesaid in pursuance of the Statutes, might
could or ought to Sell the Same In Witness Whereof I
the Said William C. Beckam, Tax Assessor and Collector
as aforesaid, have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this
day and year first above written

                   This Indenture made this the 16th
day of March AD 1868, between William C. Beckam, tax
assessor & Collector of the County and State aforesaid party
of the first part and Stephen McCall of the said State 
and County aforesaid party of the Second part
Witnesseth, that whereas the said William C. Beckam
Tax assessor and Collector as aforesaid, did by virtue of 
the authority vested in him on the 2nd day of December 
AD 1867, levy upon and Seize the property hereinafter 
described, and Whereas the said William C. Beckam 
as Tax Assessor & Collector as aforesaid did in Conformity 
with the Statutes in Such cases made and provided, duly
advertise the said property for Sale from the 2nd day of 
December 1867 to the 16th day of March AD 1868 being the 
day and date of these presents, and did on this day 
Sell the same at auction to Stephen McCall the
party of the Second part as aforesaid for the Sum 
of Sixty nine 87/100 Dollars being the highest sum 
bid for the same - Now therefore, Know Ye
